Only You Can Save Mankind, Johnny and the Bomb ![]() ![]() ![]() I spoke to Rum in early January about her life, the writing process, and her fear that Arab Americans will dub her a traitor for exposing what she calls "the deeply complicated and sometimes dark aspects of our community.”ĮLEANOR J. Called one of the most anticipated releases of 2019 by , Marie Claire, and The Millions, the book is a sweeping intergenerational tale that addresses an array of issues: family loyalty, gender expectations, domestic violence, assimilation, honor and dishonor, and cultural continuity. Her first novel, A Woman Is No Man, was released by HarperCollins on March 5. After finishing her degrees, Rum continued her studies, eventually completing a master’s in American and British literature. A film has to worry about pacing, actors, effects, lighting, location, budget and etc., something novels (only limited by the imagination of the author, and the reader) don’t have to worry about. Of course, most are aware that Jurassic Park was based on the 1990 book of the same name, but most might not be aware of some of the differences between the two.Ī lot gets changed when adapting a novel to film, this is due in part to the nature of the mediums. Jurassic World Dominion will be released next week in theaters and is set to reunite cast members Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum and Laura Dern for the first time since the original 1993 film. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Druid-trained in her youth, Boudica married the Iceni king, hoping to rally him to a rebellion for which he has no stomach. ![]() Maeve keeps this troubling tryst a secret even after she finds her long-lost daughter Boudica, the fierce and charismatic queen of the Iceni tribe.
